**Company description**

The Wigan We Love Pets team look after every pet as if it were their own, ensuring they receive the right levels of mental stimulation and exercise. They take time to get to know pets and their needs, offering a personal service that goes above and beyond.

We walk dogs in a safe open space and return them home, happy and tired. We also provide fresh water, treats and will towel dogs off in wet weather.

Our aim is to make each walk the highlight of a dog’s day, giving them a chance to play, socialise, exercise and explore new sights and smells.

We also offer a range of pet sitting services including visiting cats and small animals whilst people are on holiday and offering a tailored puppy package to help care for puppies whilst their owners are at work.

We do not pack walk.

**Job summary**

Collect, exercise and care for customers’ dogs.
- Walks during the day (most walks around lunchtime)
- Monday to Friday hours
- Permanent jobs only
- Walking up to four dogs at a time maximum (we don't pack walk)
- Full training and insurance protection

**Requirements**:

- Walk for a few hours a day
- Lift, exercise, handle and restrain dogs
- **Submit for a police and reference check**
- Look after dogs as if they are a member of the family
- Complete our online pet first aid course
- Carry out some shadow walks before taking the job
- Undergo training as required
- **Use their car, be willing to put dogs either in the back with a dog guard or on the seats on harness and seatbelts (insurance, tax and MOT required)**
- Have a reliable mobile phone and internet access
- Write well and communicate clearly with clients and their manager
- Follow instructions as well as being able to think on their feet and make decisions quickly when it comes to dealing with unexpected problems/situations that may arise during a walk

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.60 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- caring for dogs: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence and car (required)
