Are you a people person that thrives on helping to deliver a first-class patient service? The come and join our exceptional team in the Recovery suite at University Hospital of Wales.

As a Recovery Health Care Support Worker you will provide assistance to all the members of the Recovery team by supporting the registered staff in the Recovery environment, alongside collecting patients from the ward and transporting them to theatre.

You will be responsible for checking specimens and collecting and returning all equipment as necessary from the wards and other departments. The role is varied and can be demanding, so you will need to be physically resilient.

You will be required to collect patients from to and from the ward transporting them to theatres. You will also be required to assist the trained staff checking patient profiles and ensuring the correct documentation is brought to theatre.

You will asked to distribute specimens to the correct laboratories, collect beds from the wards, collect blood from the blood bank and complete any necessary paperwork as required.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
