Support workers aim to assist individuals in achieving their personal goals, fostering independence, and enhancing their quality of life. This involves providing practical assistance, emotional support, and advocacy to help clients navigate daily challenges, access essential services, and participate actively in their communities.

**Job Specification**

Role: Support Worker

Rates from: £14.34-£17.56 Hourly

Located in: Cardiff

Start Date: Asap

Duration / Likely Duration: On-going

Full-time/Part-time: Both full-time & part time available

Hours: Days 8am-6pm / Nights 6pm - 8am

**Requirements to succeed**
- Excellent communication abilities for interacting with clients, families, and colleagues
- Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Empathy and compassion towards the individuals you support
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances and service user needs

**Experience, Training & Qualifications**
- Experience in redirecting challenging behaviours and de-escalation techniques.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
- Experience in tenancy support, the mental health field, dealing with drug and alcohol abuse, helping people with housing and their benefits would be beneficial and desirable, but are not mandatory.
- Registration with Social Care Wales (mandatory requirement).
- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle (mandatory requirement).
