Purpose of the Post.
- Ensure that the people of Gwynedd are at the heart of everything we do.
- Acting as a member of the administrative Support team which provides an administrative and typing Service to the Legal Department

Responsibility for functions. e.g. staff, budgets, equipment
- Keep and record A and T Documents.

Main Duties

Undertake admin work within the service which includes:

- Provide admin support and direct filing to the legal staff.
- Take specific responsibility for aspects of the unit’s filing system including opening and closing files.
- Photocopy documents including court bundles.
- Provide a courier service.
- Carry out typing work for the Legal unit including audio typing and ensuring that it is completed promptly and to a high standard together with any copying work attached to the work
- Dealing with the service’s mail
- Receive and deal with requests/inquiries from members of the public on the phone and in person on behalf of the department staff.
- Keep and retrieve deeds and legal documents from the cells.
- Record A and T documents electronically and arrange to keep them.
- Undertake a legal administrative support function by providing standard letters according to case or matter requirements, preparing court case bundles and preparing legal forms.
- Develop staff within the team for which he/she is responsible.
- The post holder will carry out these duties together with any reasonable duties at the request of the line manager or unit manager.
