**Primary Teaching Assistant x 2 Full time or Part Time - £9.99 an hour, Penrith**

A popular Primary School in Penrithare looking for **2 Teaching Assistants**to work with assigned keystage 1 pupils who have complex needs: social and emotional, on a 1-2-1 basis. There are 2 opportunities with different timetables below;
- **1 x full time TA (8.45 - 3.15)**:

- **1 x part time TA (afternoons 12.30 - 3.15)to start on Monday 24th January until Easter and possibly extend to July.**

These roles will ideally start ASAP and will most likely extend to the Summer but will at least reach Easter. This school is in Penrith and easy to access. If you are looking for secure long term temporary TA work in a busy, supportive school then pleaseget in touch today

**What will working as a TA on supply involve doing day to day?**
You will be employed to support the Class Teacher to support teaching and learning. Work will involve:

- Encouraging and supporting the routine that has been set in place by the teacher for members of the class
- Encouraging the confidence, self-esteem and independence.
- Helping the students understand instructions, through repetition, re-phrasing or demonstrating.
- Providing feedback and assistance to teachers.
- Supporting the teacher and students in social activities and on outings.
- Supporting class teachers with reading, writing and maths with small groups of children

**What personal qualities and skills does working as a TA on supply require?**
You will be required to hold a Level 3 recognised TA qualification as well as practical previous experience. You will need an interest in education and in working with**students** along with good communication and ‘people’ skills. You will needto have a **mature approach t**o your work and a responsible attitude along with much**patience and a sense of humour at times**You will need to be a **patient person**who has compassion and **empathy and also a drive to see others flourish and succeed as they learn. You will need experience teaching and supporting learners**and be willing to get stuck in and provide help as and when it is needed.
