Infrastructure & Support Shift Engineer X 2

Job title: Infrastructure Shift Engineer X 2 ( 4 nights on, 4 nights off) £35k + 20% shift allowance

To maintain and support a private cloud and ISP infrastructure in a forward thinking, rapidly growing MSP. This role provides a great mixture of duties giving exposure to wide range of technologies.

Duties include:
Reacting, triaging and mitigation monitoring alerts for the platform.

Upgrade networking components include virtualised firewalls.

Configure network utilising automation tools to aid on boarding and maintenance of core network.

Provisioning and configuring new customer services.

Providing support to customers under the supervision of mentors to the nature of work required, hours will be split evenly between day and night-time shifts. Shift patterns are 4 nights on, 4 nights off.

Key technical skills and knowledge:

- Microsoft Certification (MCSE) or willingness to work towards this.
- Cisco CCNA or willingness to work towards this.
- CompTIA Certification or willingness to work towards this.
- Experience in virtualised environments, preferably VMware and Hyper-V.
- Experience of Microsoft server operating systems and technologies.

Personality skills:

- Must be able to work unsupervised, on own initiative.
- Ability to share and document information.
- Be confident in both spoken and written communications.
- An excellent problem solver with strong analytical skills.
- Someone who likes to keep up to date with the latest technology.
- Can meet deadlines and maintain high standards even when under pressure.
