JOB OVERVIEW

Due to the retirement of the current postholder, we now have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer / CFO who has leadership experience managing a Finance Team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and highly successful trust, to help lead them in the next stage of their development.

As the Chief Financial Officer / CFO you will work closely with the CEO and the board, to manage the finances effectively and help the trust achieve its strategic objectives.

Working as the Chief Financial Officer / CFO you will provide leadership to the finance management team for the efficient execution of both financial and management accounts, procurement of resources and services as well as fulfilling audit requirements to deadline.

DUTIES

**Your duties as the Chief Financial Officer / CFO will cover**:
Financial oversight and governance

Oversee financial controls and management

Financial planning

Budgeting and monitoring

Advise on investments and income generation

Risk management and internal scrutiny

Preparation and audit of accounts

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Experienced in a finance leadership role

Have an understanding of the financial framework academy trusts operate within

Will be appropriately qualified and experienced, possessing accountancy qualifications from a recognised professional body, such as the ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA

Understand the principles of spending public money wisely in line with best value

Be an effective leader and communicator

Demonstrate proactivity, influence, honesty and possess strong communication skills
