**The Purpose of the Role**:
The purpose of the role is to review, analyse and evaluate locations of existing and new Post Office branches with a view to ensuring that the strategic aims of the business and its customers are met. The role sits within the NDA team that interprets data and provides sound analysis into a non technical and understandable format to support day-to-day and strategic decision making. Working closely with Regional, and Area Managers, but Network Provisions teams predominantly, the role holder will ensure that we have a branch in locations underpinned by the Network blueprint and Government Access Criteria. The role holder will be working collaboratively across functions, being the central point for business as usual activity within the branch network and will provide and review leads to deliver the strategic aims of the network. The role holder will produce plans at local or area level and present these with clear explanations and justification to a wide distribution of internal and external stakeholders. The role is pivotal to the delivery of current and future business strategies as well as business as usual modelling activity. The role holder will have clear management responsibility and maintenance of the Periscope system within the NPDA team.

**Principal Accountabilities**:

- Assessing and advising customers (field teams and wider teams) with appropriate and accurate information to enable a new/replacement locations within the branch network.
- Ensuring that the customer has a clear understanding of the information and guidance being presented and be able to make recommendations to senior levels within Post Office Limited and external stakeholders.
- Continuously improving processes and ways of working using root cause analysis.
- Supporting the team to deliver solutions towards an efficient workplace
- Supporting field teams and other stakeholders within specific geographic regions and the wider BAU team, when required.
- Interfacing, maintaining, and building a strong working relationship with the local field teams and wider stakeholders, including Strategic Partnerships Team, to ensure that the business network strategy is delivered.
- Being accountable for the delivery of the business Network Strategy across their geographical area.

**Qualifications, Experience & Skills**:

- General understanding of Branch Operating Models and Counter Position modelling.
- Good understanding of Outreach Operating Models - design, benefits, and implementation methods.
- Good understanding of business strategy, policies, operating procedures, and network change processes.
- Good understanding of both the wider social and commercial environment in which Post Office Ltd operates.
- Resilient and able to respond to customer challenges with tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely the needs of the team to approved external service providers and confirming that changes have been implemented correctly before wider publication
- Excellent influencing and communication skills with ability to deliver messages effectively at all levels.
- Ability to guide people in a complex and agile environment and whilst delivering business change initiatives.
- Passionate customer service orientation and desire to drive excellence.
- Experience of working with cross functional teams to embrace skills and experience from the wider business.
- Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to analyse POL and external data to make decisions to achieve strategic aims.
- A working knowledge of good retail practice in the convenience sector.
- Flexible and proactive attitude to working, able to work effectively on your own or as part of a team whilst managing your own time to deliver accountabilities.
- A working knowledge of retail planning in the convenience or banking section is expected
