Our client, one of the worlds leading Financial Services groiups, is currently looking to add a Structured Real Estate Finance Specialist to assist the development, management and expansion of its £200m+ portfolio of index-linked ground rent loans. The role will also encompass support and involvement in the wider activities of the REDM commercial real estate lending business, including the delivery of conventional senior debt loans and other, innovative financing products such as loans in the social housing sector. The role will require engagement and co-ordination with stakeholders both inside and outside of REDM.

**Responsibilities**
- Analysing, interrogating and modelling loan cashflows and carrying out sensitivity analysis
- Structuring loan facilities, preparing indicative debt terms and negotiating with borrowers
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and assisting with technical queries (co-ordinating with colleagues, legal counsel and other experts where required)
- Preparing Investment Committee papers and presenting to Investment Committee
- Liaising with lawyers and negotiating LMA loan and security documentation
- Liaising with other professionals including auditors, tax advisors, insurance advisors, building surveyors, fire safety experts, as required
- Monitoring legal and regulatory changes in the context of the loan portfolio, including leasehold reform
- Creating ad-hoc reports to (i) monitor and analyse the performance of the loan portfolio and its underlying security in line with investment management mandate parameters, covenant trends and market risks; and (ii) assist in presentations to existing and prospective institutional investors (for example, through the provision of track record statistics and portfolio analysis)
- Reviewing loan facilities, including monitoring compliance with financial covenants and reporting exceptions
- Maintaining and developing relationships with key stakeholders including existing and prospective clients, institutional investors and professional contacts
- Liaising with all REDM team members and working on other lending initiatives / projects, as required

**Desirable experience, skills, and competencies**
- 3+ years’ relevant prior hands-on experience in a credit role within a lending / fund operation, ideally with experience of ground rent finance, income strips and/or other structured real estate related debt finance
- Knowledge and experience of one or more of real estate related lending, ground rents, income strips, investment management and fund management
- Highly numerate with the ability to prepare discounted cash flows and analyse, distil and interpret complex data, supported by excellent written skills and good report writing proficiency
- Advanced in the use of MS Office (Excel in particular)
- Experience in collaborating with internal teams and senior leaders, as well as external parties, such as REDM’s institutional investor clients
- Highly organised and reliable, strong communication skills, commercial acumen and excellent attention to detail
- Professional demeanour and strong interpersonal skills
- Pro-active, solutions focused self-starter with a lateral approach and the ability to work independently
- Willingness to take on a diverse workload and to adapt to and embrace new challenges

The salary bracket for the role is between £35,000-43,000 with an excellent benefits package. The role is based in the Wilmslow office with some flexibility to work a day a week from home after successfully passing a probabtionary period. Please contact me now to discuss in more detail.
