**Schedule**:

- Rota issued 2 weeks in advance - will include week-ends - must be available on short notice for sick cover and free on bank holidays + cover holidays

**Who we are**: Auchingarrich Wildlife and Adventure park is a family owned private park. We take care of almost 200 animals. Those include exotic and farm animals. The park has an adventure section where we offer Nerf guns birthday parties, Soft play, go kart etc. Our Dizzy Duck café is run daily by our team on site. There is a small team of permanent staff and a large team of volunteers.

**The role**:
This is an exciting opportunity working as part of our small team providing for our wide range of animals.

You will help with feeding, cleaning, health monitoring, enclosure maintenance, including the development of enrichment, all delivered to a high standard. Keep your paperwork up to date and delivering the best visit possible for our many visitors.

You must be a pro-active individual that will take a hands-on approach within the department with an eye for detail and presentation.

Interest and some knowledge of animal handling on previous work experience is desirable.

Weekend, bank holiday, and flexibility in working hours is essential to this role.

Some evening work will be required during special events throughout the year during Halloween or Christmas and some evening during our Campsite opening season.

Ensuring the safety of our visitors, staff and animals is of key importance and ensuring that health & safety protocols are followed at all times.

Applicant Essentials:
Good observation and communication skills. Self-motivated and enthusiastic. High understanding of following safe working protocols. **A current full driving licence is essential.**

**Working Conditions**:
Due to the nature of the work the role requires reaching, squatting, kneeling, bending and stretching. The role also requires lifting and carrying from time to time but help is always available

Pay rate is pro rata per year

**Salary**: From £16,800.00 per year

Expected hours: 8 - 28 per week
