**Schedule**:

- Rota issued 2 weeks in advance - will include week-ends - must be available on short notice for sick cover and free on bank holidays + cover holidays
- Week-ends, holidays and bank holidays availability is a must.

**Who we are**: Auchingarrich Wildlife and Adventure park is a family owned private park. We take care of almost 200 animals. Those include exotic and farm animals. The park has an adventure section where we offer Nerf guns birthday parties, Soft play, go kart etc. Our Dizzy Duck café is run daily by our team on site. There is a small team of permanent staff and a large team of volunteers.

**The role**:The Reception and Sales Assistant provides reception services to all visitors to AWP. It’s critical we manage this process effectively. The Reception Manager oversees all reception activities; receives visitors and processes wildlife admissions and purchases within the shop; manages phone queries and maintains a record of all activity. Your role will also extend to managing stock, organising the shop, cleaning and tidying of the shop, stock audit, opening and closing of the shop, tills, sales, banking and cash management.

**To conduct Reception duties, you will**:

- Greet visitors to the park. Assess their needs and redirect as appropriate
- Check in all wildlife admissions and update paperwork and database
- Encourage and accept donations from visitors
- Ensure the reception/shop area is clean, tidy and well presented with marketing material displayed on the work and events of the Park
- Complete all paperwork, records, information and data, ensuring all is dealt with professionally, timely, sensitively and in accordance with data protection

**Experience, knowledge and skills**:

- Previous experience is preferable but not essential.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle as we are not on public transport route.
- Excellent telephone manner
- Excellent communication and customer care skills particularly in sensitive situations
- Demonstrable organisational and IT skills to include outlook, word, excel **are essential**.

**Working Conditions**:
Due to the nature of the work the role requires reaching, squatting, kneeling, bending and stretching. The role also requires lifting and carrying from time to time but help is always available

**Work Location**: In person

Pay rate is pro rata per year

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Expected hours: 8 - 48 per week
