Jolly Good Web is a fully UK-based web design and development agency, serving global clients across multiple industries including Aviation, Tech, Construction, and Data/AI. Our principle tech stack is Webflow / Figma / Adobe suite, however we also serve clients in the Wordpress and Laravel platforms.

**Role Description**

This is a full-time on-site role located in Mosaic Digital Hub, Lincoln (LN2 1DY) for a Head of Creative. This would suit a design professional looking to step up to the next rung of their career - we don't expect you to have worked at this level already.

As Head of Creative at Jolly Good Web, you will be responsible for leading the Design phase of projects from start to finish. This entails creating visually appealing and user-friendly website and graphic designs, including brand guidelines and logo ideation. You will collaborate with our wider team to understand client requirements, refine concepts, and execute designs. This role offers an opportunity to showcase your creative talents and contribute to the success of our clients' websites.

**Responsibilities**
- Working in collaboration with the Jolly Good Web team to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for client website projects, in accordance with project brief & scope.
- Support the development team in generating website graphics on-demand when needed.
- Support Jolly Good Web's marketing efforts in the creation of marketing assets / graphics where needed.
- Ensuring that all web assets created & used are well-optimised in accordance with web design best principles.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their goals and objectives, and develop creative solutions that exceed their expectations.
- Review and approve all creative work before final delivery, ensuring that it meets quality standards and client requirements in terms of visual and product elements.
- Lead all creative efforts, including taking responsibility for the output of other team members.

**Required experience & attributes**
- Good/Advanced working experience in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, or Figma.
- Good knowledge of responsive design principles.
- Good understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design.
- Confident communication and presentation skills that set the tone for optimal client relationship building and team collaboration.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and take direction.
- Strong attention to detail and ability/drive to meet & exceed deadlines.
- An updated portfolio that stands out, showcasing a diverse range of visual and product design that highlights your ability to innovate and deliver outstanding visual experiences across different platforms and mediums. **(mandatory)**.
- A **willingness** to learn the principles of HTML, CSS, and how to make minor updates to Webflow projects.

**Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial (but not essential)**
- Experience with Webflow.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Laravel.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices.

**Compensation & benefits**
- Salary of £30,000 - £35,000 DOE
- 32 days of annual leave (including UK bank holidays)

**Interview process**
- 1st stage - circa 30-60 minutes (remote / in-person - optional) - background & experience.
- 2nd stage - circa 1 hour (in-person Lincoln LN2 1DY) - portfolio presentation & wider experience.
- 3rd stage - circa 15-30 minutes (remote) - culture/team fit.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
