Ground Worker/pipe Layer

Overview:
**Duties**:

- Install and repair underground drainaige according to project specifications
- Build and bench your own manholes
- Operate power tools, such as jackhammers and pipe cutters, to excavate and prepare the worksite
- Use hand tools, such as shovels and wrenches, to assist in pipeline installation
- Dig trenches and lay pipes in accordance with engineering plans
- Ensure proper alignment and grade of pipes during installation
- Test pipelines for leaks and make necessary repairs
- Collaborate with other construction workers to complete projects on time such as kerbing etc

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as a Pipelayer or skilled groundworker
- Proficient in Reading from drawings
- Familiarity with operating power tools and hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret engineering plans
- A high quality and attention to detail
