**About the Role**:
We are looking for a primary care head of operations to work within the Chelmsford City Health Primary Care Network based in Chelmsford, Essex on a full-time basis for 37.5 hours per week.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

- Play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-quality primary health care within the PCN.
- Support the PCN clinical directors and board to ensure the smooth running of the network.
- Be involved in the management and development of the network.
- Manage contractual requirements on behalf of the network.
- Responsible for producing performance and quality reports within the Network and other Network initiatives.
- Work closely with the four practices as finance and HR lead for the PCN.
- Ensure the PCN’s compliance with GDPR and FOI along with other relevant legislation and professional information management standards such as GMC/BMA and LMC guidance.
- Represent the PCN in cross-organisation meetings when agreed, e.g., PCN operations managers meetings/ICS and other NHS-wide meetings.

To meet the requirements of this post you will need to have previous experience in healthcare management and the following.
- A degree or a similar qualification such as an NHS management qualification gained in a primary care setting.
- Must have proven knowledge and experience of working in a management role within primary care.
- Expertise in contract management.
- Experience in financial and HR management.
- Ability to deliver a vision, with a willingness and the drive to adapt to NHS targets and business planning, whilst keeping abreast of legislative and contractual changes.
- Self-motivated, with a forward-thinking, solution-focused approach.
- Understanding of the health care system in relation to commissioners.
- Experience of working in an ever-evolving environment, with an ability to cope with regular change.
- Excellent organisational, management and planning skills, IT skills and communication skills.
- Ability to implement and manage change effectively.
- Ability to identify training and development needs in self and others as well as experience of appraising staff.

**About Us**:
Chelmsford City Health is a high-achieving and well-established PCN comprising of four practices who have formed a network in order to benefit from shared resources and to be able to offer healthcare services at scale to its population of 43,000 patients. Two of the practices are dispensing practices and all four are training practices.
