Working 37.5 hours a week as a Occupational Therapist Assistant at Arbury Court will assist in the preparation and delivery of therapeutic interventions for patients under the direction of qualified Occupational Therapy staff and in pursuance of the individualpatient's Care Plan. These sessions may be linked to activities of daily living such as self-care, personal interests, cooking and basic educational needs. They may form part of the patient's initial and ongoing assessment. The sessions will promote relevantpatient-centred skills, confidence and recovery.

Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will support the service in delivering structured activities and assisting in the planning for individual and group therapeutic interventions. You will build one-to-one rapports with service users toencourage participation in activities and empower recovery.

As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will contribute to the assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and modification of structured activities in order to measure progression and ensure effectiveness.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be supported regionally and will have access to a variety of training and online courses to support your career development and growth.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- The preparation and maintenance of designated therapeutic environments.
- Liaise with internal/external agencies to ensure timely provision of patient services
- To organise, monitor and ensure an adequate supply of stock/session materials
- To act in a manner at all times that promotes professionalism and demonstrates a positive role model to patients
- Undertake general administration tasks as directed
- To attend internal and external meetings as directed
- To record attendance and submit statistical data according to departmental procedures
- To ensure hospital policies/procedures are complied with at all times
- Under supervision and direction of an identified Occupational Therapist, provide individual or group activities for an identified patient group.
- To consult with Occupational Therapy staff regarding the needs of individual patients

**To be successful in this role you will need**:

- GCSE/O-Levels (A-C) or a relevant NVQ2.
- Experience in a similar environment & Mental Health
- Verbal and written communication skills Experience of providing a range of activities and occupations
- Experience of working on own and in a team
- Experience of working with people in this patient group
- Full UK Driving Licence (Desirable)
