To raise the profile of BBC Studios sales, partnerships, branded services and production activities, reinforcing BBC Studio’s position as a premium content company. Working with VP, Comms, Global Markets, this role will further the reputation of our GlobalDistribution business across the region and beyond.

**Key responsibilities and accountabilities**

Working with VP, Comms, EMEA, to identify and implement corporate, consumer and B2B reputation enhancing publicity for channels & digital, programme & format publicity, content sales & trade markets for international businesses across EMEA
- Support VP, Comms on implementation of customer engagement strategy and new customer communication tools
- Build the profile of senior executives and business across the region, identifying opportunities for speaker opportunities and press activity.
- Provide briefings for senior executives outlining the major BBC, BBCS and industry issues and research and write speeches as necessary.
- Deliver business-reputational coverage in key markets, including but not limited to publicity campaigns, press releases, press events, interviews and speaking opportunities.
- Provide internal communications support for content sales and wider global distribution business
- Develop collaborative working relationship with the relevant teams on major initiatives across sales, formats, co-production and production in the region
- Manage negative press issues in relevant markets as appropriate
- Drive uplift in audiences to the suite of BBC Channels available in Global Markets through targeted consumer publicity and digital campaigns in order to achieve set KPIs.
- Organise press events and press visits/interviews in market.
- Support VP Communications on other international work as required
- Build relationships with external stakeholders, incl. clients and affiliate partner communication teams, media, KOLs, trade event and associations.
- Deputise for VP Comms as and when required

**Essential**
- Excellent understanding of corporate, consumer & digital comms.
- A strategic & creative thinker who can deliver brand led campaigns
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to maintain credibility and effective working relationships with a wide range of levels including the most senior internal and external contacts.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to craft brand & corporate messages in a variety of tones and styles according to audience and narrator.
- Ability to prioritise to meet conflicting deadlines, often at short notice and under pressure.

**Desirable**
- Experience of handling crises and effecting responses at a high profile organisation.
- Knowledge and/or experience of the media/broadcasting environment an advantage.
