**The job in a nutshell**

You’ll be responsible for furthering the sustainability agenda at Travelodge by delivering the requirements laid out within Travelodge’s Better Future plan whilst also working to embed sustainability across the business so that exists “in everything we do”.

**What you’ll be doing**:
**Better Future**
- Production of the annual Better Future report in conjunction with the relevant other business owners of the Better Future plan,
- Ensuring that progress, issues and risks to the Better Future plan are recognised and acted upon,
- Measuring the KPIs and delivery of work set within the Better Future plan
- Work with relevant business stakeholders in support and challenge to achieving the aims of the Better Future plan; and
- Support the Head of Sustainability in the areas of the plan that the sustainability department is directly responsible for, particularly energy management and decarbonisation.

**Governance and risk management**
- Support the production of papers for the quarterly sustainability steering groups and bi-annual Sustainability Committee.
- Understand and ensure the business adheres to the regulations under climate-related regulations such as TCFD and the upcoming ISSB.

**Stakeholder management**
- Build strong internal stakeholder relationships at all levels, promoting communication and innovation

**What we’ll expect from you**

You work will bring you into contact with a wide range of stakeholders across the business, and so you you will be experienced in influencing people at a range of levels, and have experience at presenting the output of your work at a variety of levels, including to Operating Board members (who act as our executive team at Travelodge).

**You must have**:

- Provable experience in delivering projects in large businesses,
- The ability to coordinate and understand multiple projects, some directly in your sphere of influence and some owned by the wider business,
- Strong analytical skills to support the review of energy management across the wider estate; and
- Strong presentation skills coupled with interpersonal skills to work, influence and challenge business stakeholders.

It would be helpful if you had:

- Provable experience of delivering energy management projects; and
- A part or full qualification in project management or sustainability such as IAPA.
