**Mid and East Antrim Borough Council - Monitoring Officers - Public Sector**

- **Hourly Rate**: £12.93 p/h
- **Location**:Carrickfergus/Larne
- **Hours of Work**: 37 hours per week
- **Duration**: Temporary initially for 3 months
- Public Sector

**Duties**:

- Inspection and monitoring of all council properties to ensure compliance with statutory legislation relating to building maintenance.
- Testing and recording of building services in accordance with written policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation.

**Criteria**:

- Minimum of 5 GCSEs to include Maths and English Language (Grade C or above)

2years in building maintenance environment which should include:

- Monitoring and recording usage data to provide management information
- Successfully communicating with a range of stakeholders in a positive manner
- Successful surveying of properties and compilation of records to reduce risk to the organisation

Demonstrable experience of successful testing in a minimum of 3 of the following areas:

- Emergency lighting systems
- Fire alarms systems
- Intruder alarms
- Fire-fighting equipment
- Domestic hot water systems - legionella checks
- Emergency door operation
- An understanding of the issues associated with monitoring and recording data
- A full current driving licence valid in the UK and access to a vehicle **OR **have access to a form of transport that enables you to carry out the duties of the post.
