Neuro Therapy Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Therapy Assistant to join our Richmond Community Neuro Rehabilitation team (CNRT).
We provide community rehabilitation for people leaving hospital early following Stroke. We also see people with a range of neurological conditions. Our dynamic team includes specialist Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Dietetics and Nursing. We run groups for Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, fatigue, and balance.
The team is based in a modern and well-resourced facility in the heart of Richmond. You will be seeing outpatients as well as home visits. Sessions are one-to-one or in groups, and can be actual or virtual, as clinically indicated.
You will be supervised by, and have opportunities to learn from, experienced neuro-therapists. There are excellent opportunities for continuing professional development. Support for career progression is also provided. T he team all play a role in developing the service to ensure that we provide skilled and efficient multidisciplinary team working and an excellent experience for our patients.
You will be self-motivated, empathetic, organised and an excellent team player. You should have a passion for encouraging and supporting patients in their rehabilitation and self-management of their neurological condition.
Interviews to take place on 04 July 2024.
Undertake specific skilled clinical support work, under the supervision of therapists, to assist in the rehabilitation of patients
Carry a patient caseload treating patients, under the direction of the therapists, individually or in a group in a variety of settings, including outpatients, outdoors and at patients’ homes
Monitor patient progress, reporting back regularly to the supervising therapists
Provide administrative support to facilitate the efficient and effective running of the team
The friendly team is based in the heart of Richmond and comprises neuro therapists and nursing, with excellent administrative support.
This community team works with adult patients living in the borough of Richmond, supporting them to live well with their neurological condition.
