**Support Worker opportunity in Telford, Shropshire for 36 hours/week**
**The role**
Gray Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Support Worker to join their team in Telford, supporting a gentleman with a mild learning disability, Autism and nonverbal support.
The person supported is nonverbal and responds well to softly spoken calm individuals who will understand the routines in place and the communication needs. The person we support enjoys going out in the car, being outdoors in a safe environment and goingon the swings.
The support is provided in a house in Telford, Shropshire and the team is 2-to-1 support by a mixed team of both male and female Support Workers.
The vacancy is for 36 hours comprising 3 x 12 hour day shifts, 8am to 8pm plus 1 x 12-hour sleep, 8pm to 8am.
The sleep pay is around £116 for 12 hours (2 hours at £10.70 and 10 hours at £9.50/hour)
We are looking for experienced Support Workers for this team who have a manual driving license to drive the mobility vehicle.
You will have an interest, motivation and enthusiasm to develop experience and skills to work with people with complex needs. Ideally you will have at least Level 3 in Health and Social Care or a willingness to work towards the qualification within GrayHealthcare.
You will be able to manage difficult situations calmly and work within agreed evidence based PBS plans. You be able to complete good quality support records, detailing the activities of daily living. You will need to be resilient, emotionally, and physicallyfit to do this role.
