Transport Planner

This role is working **Monday - Friday Days**, with an annual salary in the range of **£25,000 - £30,000** per annum, dependant on experience and ability.

S W Wreford and Sons Ltd are a successful and highly respected east midlands-based transport business, consisting of a strong group of companies, with 200,000 sqft of warehousing and an extensive fleet of over 80 vehicles. We continue to evolve and expand as a family owned and run business established in 1904 and celebrating our 120th anniversary this year.

Due to this continued growth, we wish to strengthen our team with a new role as Pallet Network Planner. The role will be involved in all aspects of our Pallet Network Operation.

**As a Pallet Network Planner, you will**:

- Provide an efficient, responsive, and professional service when handling all incoming and outgoing calls with customers, depots and drivers
- Data Input to both our TMS and Palletforce Alliance
- Dealing with drivers and communicating delays and ETA’s to both the network and customers
- Route planning of deliveries/collections in NN postcode areas
- Preparing and communicating documentation for loading of C&D fleet and trunking to Palletforce hub
- General haulage/ Pallet Network experience
- Able to work in fast paced environment, to prioritise tasks and be organised and methodical
- Excellent IT skills / understanding and knowledge through experience of a TMS or similar route planning software
- Good geographical knowledge of NN postcodes
- Good customer service skills and a solutions-oriented approach
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be able to work using own initiative and have a flexible, 'can-do' attitude
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
