This is a part-time role in the Teddington and Wandsworth offices of this well-established charity; it would really suit someone who wants to work flexibly in a finance role in this friendly team.

Ruils is a charity that supports disabled adults, people with long term health and or mental health conditions to live independently, be part of their community and to live life to the full. We provide information, advice, practical support, befriending and accessible activities to our clients and families. We enable individuals to have choice and control over the way in which they get their support.

We run the Direct Payment support service in Richmond and Wandsworth Boroughs. This enables people to employ their own care staff.

**Purpose of Post**

The Finance Assistant will be responsible for supporting the main finance function of Ruils, whilst also providing admin support to the Direct Payments team. For the finance team this will involve weekly logging of invoices and authorizations and setting up monthly payments. For the Direct Payments team this will include checking and logging invoices and supporting with admin

**What you might be doing now**:

- You may be a highly numerate graduate looking to get into the charity sector.
- You may be working in a financial function in another sector but be drawn to working in the charity sector
- Or you may have the skills we need from some other combination of work and volunteering.

**Main Duties include**:
General Finance Tasks (1 day per week)
- Process all suppliers’ invoices, staff and volunteer expenses logging them as required on spreadsheets as well as uploading to Quikbooks and the OneDrive.
- Once authorised process weekly and monthly payment to supplier, staff and clients.
- Reconcile supplier statements and bank any cheques and/or cash received.
- Work with the Finance Manager and Fundraising Manager to prepare and create Gift Aid information to be submitted.

Managed Accounts Assistant (2 days per week)
- Checking the managed account inbox and logging client invoices on the Invoice Spreadsheet. Invoices to be filed in appropriate folders.
- Maintaining the payments spreadsheet including recording when payments have been made.
- Assisting with reviewing remittances, updating contribution logs and surplus returns.
- Updating information, and on occasions making payments via the Managed Account payment system.
