**Shift Operations Manager - Leading FMCG Company**

**Location: Coventry**

**Salary: £48-55,000 + bonus + 23½% shift allowance + excellent employee benefits**

**Shifts: 4-on/4-off days and nights (Continentals)**

Our client is market-leading food manufacturer and is seeking s Shift Operations Manager to join their busy manufacturing facility in Coventry. Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will be leading a 120 strong workforce to deliver production and qualityexcellence throughout. You will use your previous operational expertise to drive continuous improvement activity across the shift. What is key here is your ability to lead from the front, drive personal development and ensure your teams are inspired and motivatedto achieve the overall business objectives. You will be instrumental in delivery against the health and safety agenda, as well as upskilling and coaching your leaders to ensure there is a consistent approach to leadership is applied throughout. **The Role**:

- Lead the on-shift team, driving excellence in their work and continuously striving for improvements in working practices.
- Responsible for contributing to and delivering the engagement strategy, measured through engagement survey
- Recognising future demands on the shift team and driving readiness to meet these needs.
- Managing shift stakeholders ensuring timely and effective communication.
- Responsible for key people processes on shift e.g., talent reviews, disciplinaries, development for targeted individuals, roundtables, pay review and other communications.
- Responsible for coordinating the QCDM (Quality Cost Delivery Morale) escalation meeting on shift.
- Delivering performance management processes for Shift Coordinators.
- Providing absence cover for opposite Shift Operations Managers.

**The Person**:

- Ideally degree educated, or equivalent, however if you have extensive hands-on experience in a similar role then this is acceptable
- You will need to have experience working within a FMCG or similar production/manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated evidence of large people management experience
- Great leadership, communication, influencing, analytical skills and effective stakeholder management
- Proven experience in delivering continuous improvement activity
- Flexible, 'can do’ attitude to role and duties
- Results driven and understands the link between action and results
- Ability to influence upwards and across in the organisation.
- Good IT and presentation skills.
- Able to prioritise in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
