**Open Ended Contract - Permanent: Full Time - 35 Hours per Week**
The Estates Waste and Furniture Services Team is a fully integrated range of professional support services delivered across the Department.
To supply all University Schools/Departments and Student Accommodation with new and second-hand furniture.
To organise and maintain the furniture stock (new and second-hand) within the Store (including assembling and dismantling furniture).
To support the University sustainability practices through refurbishment and re-issue of suitable second-hand furniture.
To improve student experience and staff working environments by upgrading and maintaining furniture across the Estate, where required.
**Your skills and attributes for success**:
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to refurbish, assemble and make minor repairs to furniture, with experience of using hand and power tools.
- Maintain and clean Furniture Store.
- Attention to detail for taking delivery of furniture and checking against copy orders.
- Ability to liaise effectively with contracted removal companies for deliveries/uplifts to/from University properties.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft packages e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to follow detailed building layout plans and to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Physical fitness for moving furniture in the Store, and for loading and unloading vehicles, and for mínimal portering within Schools/Departments, as required.
- Clean driving licence.
