If you are looking for a way to express your caring personality and support those suffering from mental health issues, we have a fantastic opportunity to joint our Team in Thurne Ward, Hellesdon Hospital, Norwich as a Clinical Support Worker.

Thurne is a ward for men and women over the age of 18. It is an acute admission and assessment ward. The ward cares for people from Norwich and north and south Norfolk who are experiencing acute mental health problems and have physical health complexities.

The service is recovery focused on Treatment, Therapy and Support to help our service users return to well-being and independence.

You will be working with the team to support service users, by providing personal support in a person-centred and holistic way.

**Please be informed, you need to eligible to work in UK, as this post is not sponsored by Trust.

You need to be supportive and express your below listed qualities to provide the best care to our service users and their families:

- Be approachable and interested in people
- Be confident in talking with people and comfortable with helping people from diverse range of backgrounds, sexual orientation, culture, religion and etc.
- Have ability to empathise without giving advice before speaking with your clinical team
- Have no-judgmental attitude and be active lister
- Be perceptive to notice changes
- Be calm in difficult circumstances or in crisis
- Be able to protect boundaries especially in distressing situations
- Have an awareness of an ability to adhere to strict confidentiality rules
- Be able to commit to time required for working on the wards (rotated shifts)
- Be eligible to work in UK (this role is not sponsored)

We are offering you a challenging role, with no two days the same. However, you will be surrounded with people who not just care about you but will be supporting you to complete necessary training and encouraging you to pursue your dreams to develop your career.

Your journey with NSFT will starts with 1 week Induction Training followed by 2 weeks of clinical theory and practical skill building excises/ training.

Your Band 3 Clinical Support Worker salary is only starting point, if you have a dream and ambitious to go higher, we will encourage and invest in you, so can develop your career in Mental Health.
