Business Analyst - IT Business Analyst sought by a large, well-known organisation with offices in central Southampton. The role can be based from home with travel to Southampton within the month.

Purpose of the role:
The post holder will work on projects within the business, as part of the Business Analyst team. In accordance with a project's requirements, the Business Analyst may be involved at any stage of the project lifecycle, including analysing and scoping the businessissue/objective, proposing options, capturing the anticipated benefits and business case, documenting requirements and as-is and to-be processes, software or service procurement, defining the target operating model, testing, training and implementing businesschange.

**Responsibilities**:

- Fulfil Business Analyst role on project teams, as directed by Programme/Project Manager or Senior/Principal BA.
- Represent business analysis skills and services, building relationships with business stakeholders within and across project teams.
- Support and influence decision makers through clear presentation of analysis findings, providing options and recommendations.
- Influence and negotiate change, constructively challenging established practices and misconceptions where appropriate.
- Timely and effective independent decision making on projects, considering the impact of these on a wide range of stakeholders.
- Document all project and business analysis work as appropriate, including business processes, functional and non-functional requirements.
- Provide business analysis support for procurement, testing and business implementation activities as required.

Experience sought:

- Proven experience of scoping, identifying and resolving business problems in a Business Analysis capacity
- Proven experience of assisting an organisation to deliver value by implementing new business processes and business change
- Proven track record of managing stakeholder expectations at senior levels within an organisation
- Proven track record of delivering business analysis artefacts within a project
- Resolution of complex business-related problems either on own initiative or working closely with technical, business and governance teams to ensure a successful outcome
- The ability to support the business in articulating the problem they are trying to solve and how the project will support the organization in achieving its strategic goals
- Utilisation of analytical skills in an information systems and business environment to assist the business in understanding and eliciting their business requirements
- Creation of business cases and benefits realization plans
