As a **Material Planner **you will ensure that material requirements are scheduled for delivery from suppliers in a quantity and on a date to support our service to customers.

Caterpillar have been building world class machinery at their Desford manufacturing facility for over 60 years. Caterpillar Stockton are a fabrication plan supply for finished goods in Desford.

**What you will do**:

- Ensuring that deliveries take place on the correct date, in the correct containers, in the quantity specified. Dealing with any delivery discrepancies to resolve.
- Validating that supplier schedules meet the facilities demands and collaborate with supplier to ensure continued material availability.
- Initiating, coordinating, and participating in activities to ensure optimum inventory levels.
- Being involved with, as necessary, the scheduling and control of onward ship material
- Performing all tasks to CPS levels of performance.
- Coordinating and managing returnable stillages.
- Weekly reporting on key performance indicators.
- Supporting supply chain manager with master scheduling duties where required.
- Coordinating and managing engineering changes.
- Any additional tasks in line with material management.

**What You Will Have (required qualifications)**:

- Previous experience of working with a Material Planning role or supply chain.
- Supplier Management Experience
- Knowledge of MRP
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent Microsoft skills
- Self-Motivated with Excellent Attention to detail.
- Experience within a Manufacturing environment

**Salary**:£28,200 - £33,500 depending on experience

**Contract**:Permanent
