**Marketing and Communications Assistant**

**20 hours per week
- £23,194- £24,054 Pro Rata**

We have a fantastic opportunity for a part time Marketing and Communications Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a creative eye and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.

You will be responsible for supporting the Marketing and Communications Executive in the planning, creation and delivery of internal and external communications strategies and campaigns.

**Please note that, due to the remoteness of some of our sites, you will need to have a driving licence and use of a car to travel between sites when needed.**

**About the role**

This is a new role and an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our growing communications team and support the needs of our dynamic and evolving business.

In this role you will deal with a number of different stakeholders, both internally and externally, including staff members, colleagues across the business, council members and partners, media and residents.

You will assist the delivery of communications using a variety of media. The work will be exciting and varied with each day bringing new challenges and providing you with an opportunity to try new approaches, explore new platforms and deliver brilliant work.

Using all the skills of a modern communicator, you will support with the creation and delivery of impactful communications and engaging social media content. You will be able to think outside the box, be creative, and willing to learn and try new things. If you think this could be you we would love to hear from you.

**You will need**
- Experience in using social media.
- Good understanding of and interest in communications, the media and marketing
- To be a creative personality who enjoys writing/content production and finding innovative solutions to a challenge.
- Experience of dealing with different stakeholders
- Good IT skills - MS Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A creative approach to video, photography and graphics
- To be a flexible team-player who is willing to learn
- To be proactive and self-motivated
- Proof reading, editing skills
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage own time and work to deadlines

**Special Conditions**
- Use of a car for work purposes to travel between sites, when needed.
