As part of our Front of House Team, we are looking to recruit a Customer Service Assistant to provide excellent customer service and professional support to our staff, visitors and students. This position will be primarily based at the Development Hub, but may include other areas of the Waterside Campus. You will be working on your own during this shift, with the support of a line manager and the Campus Security Team.

The main responsibilities include:

- Acting as first point of contact for all staff, student and visitor queries at the reception desk at the Development Hub
- Issuing and retrieving ID cards including temporary passes for students and staff
- Daily reporting of queries to management
- Assisting students with book returns
- Managing return of equipment and notifying relevant departments
- Working collaboratively with different teams across the University
- Reporting issues that may occur and signposting

**About you**

You will;
- Have reception/front of house experience at an operational level.
- Possess a willingness to help students, staff and visitors and have an approachable demeanour.
- Be self-motivated and able to prioritise a workload.
- Have an understanding of Health and Safety legislation in relation to building management and occupation.
- Be competent in the use of IT systems and navigation of web pages.

**Qualifications**

Essential;
- Educated to GCSE level, or equivalent in relevant discipline
