**Role Overview**

Managing, supporting and maintaining of VMWare and Windows Services on BUPA’s information systems infrastructure on premise and in our cloud-based solutions. Implement technical solutions in support of business and IS projects and to provide technical consultancy in their designated area of technical speciality.

**What you’ll do**:

- Proactive and/or reactive support of VMware and Windows Servers data centre and cloud infrastructure in line with agreed service level agreements.
- Manage and provision on premise and cloud servers running Windows Server in line with processes, policies and standards.
- Administer VMware vSphere infrastructure and Hosted Guest Machines from Windows based administration tools
- Perform root cause analysis on hardware, software, network and operating system issues
- Be able to perform on-call support and scheduled maintenance work
- Monitor the performance of the infrastructure and carry out tuning exercises as appropriate to ensure optimal performance.

**What you’ll bring**:

- The applicant should be able to demonstrate a high level of expertise and working knowledge in VMWare, Windows Server and Microsoft Azure.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy.
- The applicant should be able to demonstrate expertise in cloud server design, provision, support and maintenance.
- The applicant should be able to demonstrate considerable practical hands-on experience in the above technical skills in a similar 3rd line role.
- The applicant should be able to demonstrate good communication skills at all levels, customer to senior management.
