**Job overview**

We currently have an opportunity for a Medical Secretary to join our Maxillofacial Surgery and Restorative Dentistry Team based at Musgrove Park Hospital.

We are a strong, proactive team who welcome innovation and adaptability within the service.

**Main duties of the job**

We are looking for someone who’ll be able to pull on their excellent organisational skills to provide a complete medical secretarial service to the Maxillofacial Surgery Service and wider team.

As well as being part of the busy department, you’ll be required to prioritise your own workload on a day-to-day basis. Excellent IT and communication skills along with a good typing speed are essential for this role.

**Qualifications**

Essential criteria
- Good Standard of General Education
- ECDL or equivalent

**Experience**

Essential criteria
- Audio typing/word processing

Desirable criteria
- Previous NHS administration experience
- Medical audio typing

**Knowledge**

Essential criteria
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite
- Knowledge of medical terminology

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: £22,816.00-£24,336.00 per year
