**Internship**

The main activity of the role involves assisting the Business Manager to achieve performance objectives.

Working along side the Business Manager and the team, the Graduate Business Manager is required to take part and develop their knowledge and skills in the following areas:
**Health and Safety**
- Operating to the highest level of health and safety objectives in line with Hanson’s Health and Safety Plan and procedures set in the Integrated Management System.
- Proactively demonstrate high personal standards of safety behaviour, and monitor the performance of the workplace through ‘Near Hit’ reporting and safety ‘Conversation’ processes

**Environmental**
- Operating to the highest level of environmental objectives in line with Hanson’s Environmental Management Plan and procedures set in the Integrated Management System.

**Compliance**
- Assist in ensuring all statutory legislation and company regulations are adhered to with respect to all activities.

**Business Development**
- Assist in achieving optimum contracting performance to include:

- Supporting the Business Analyst in performance of business review duties.
- Causeway system maintenance and support.
- Analysis of performance and reporting and investigation of variances.
- Assisting in the development of KPIs.
- Coordination and production of presentations for use by the senior team.
- Supplementary information and analysis for forecasts
- Preparation of industry and statutory statistics.
- Ad hoc commercial, operational and QS analysis where appropriate.
- Varied Ad-hoc projects as required
