Your New Role

National Highways have an excellent opportunity for an Operational Technology Asset Improvement Manager to join our newly formed Operational Control Division within Operations. In this exciting new role you will be a part of a team responsible for maximisingopportunities to improve our ways of working in the management of operational technology within National Highways.

Working collaboratively with our Operations Regions, Digital Services and the supply chain you will ensure routine maintenance, reactive maintenance and capital renewals are delivered in a timely manner, in line with contractual agreements and meet the requiredtechnical, quality and safety standards.

What you’ll be leading on
- Work with Operations regions and supporting directorates to understand and report on the performance and risk associated with operational technology and business systems with the aim of maximising the availability of operational technology.
- Participate in the design, development and delivery of projects and initiatives within the Operational Technology Optimisation & Transformation programme or other transformation programmes.
- Ensuring quality management system processes and procedures for operational technology are applied consistently across Operations Regions and Digital Services. Championing improvements to processes and procedures.
- Work closely with Digital Services to ensure the needs of Operations are reflected in operational technology product roadmaps and establish close relationships with Digital Services OT Service Delivery Managers.
- Understand dependencies between operational technology assets and systems. Assist in requirements capture and support in testing and implement of such interfaces or improvements to interfaces.
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, (e.g., maintenance contractors), to ensure full mutual understanding of the National Highways strategic and delivery objectives for operational technology.
- Contribute to updating national process documents and training material in conjunction with suppliers and Operations Quality Managers and participate in / lead audits as required to ensure compliance. Manage actions in relation to process audits to ensurecontrols are continuously improved.

- Experience of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to present analytical insights to diverse audiences in both written and oral formats
- Proven track record in successful partnership working between different teams and roles to achieve effective service delivery and improvement
- Demonstrable experience of risk management and associated governance in a complex organisation
- Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate a team
- Ability to influence change through diverse stakeholder groups
