**Full Job Description**

Chester South PCN is a network of 4 GP surgeries: Handbridge Medical Centre, City Walls Medical Centre, Western Avenue Medical Centre and Lache Health Centre. Together we provide a Primary Care Service to over 35,000 patients

The Operational Coordinator Role is an exciting opportunity to join us and be part of the delivery of the GP Direct Enhanced Service Contract helping us to shape and inform innovative and exiting new services in Chester South PCN. You will have a very important role helping support the PCN Agenda and delivery of care.

In this role you will be answerable to the PCN Business Manager, and your main task will be in the day-to-day support of this role and of the Clinical Directors (CD).

**Key skills and experience required for the role include**:

- Excellent IT and communication skills, flexibility, a ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Financially numerate.
- The ability to be adaptable and not constrained by processes and organisational boundaries.
- NHS system experience such as EMIS.
- Experience with corporate social media.

**Key Roles and responsibilities**:

- Support with the planning and organizing Monthly Board Meetings, plus any other ad hoc PCN Meetings taking of minutes.
- Support with Network contracts and governance including the possible development of the PCN as a Limited Company.
- Management of PCN Network Drive, e.g., MS Teams (regular upload of minutes and any other important documents, including Network Agreement).
- PCN Data submissions and PCN IT requirements.

**Primary support to the PCN Manager & CD in his/her roles and responsibilities**:

- Understanding all relevant PCN contracts both local and national.
- Supporting the development of excellent relationships across the network to enable collaboration for better patient outcomes.
- Supporting the PCN Business Manager & CD to provide strategic leadership for workforce development, through assessment of clinical skill-mix and development of network workforce strategy.
- Supporting network implementation of agreed service changes and pathways, working closely with member practices, the wider PCN and the commissioner to develop, support and deliver local improvement programmes aligned to national and local priorities.
- Developing relationships and working closely with other local teams’, health and social care providers, local commissioners, and Local Medical Committees (LMCs).
- This primary support may involve co-attendance at meetings and the distribution of important information and correspondence to the PCN Board.
- The role is fixed term contract until 31stMarch 2024 (this may well be extended) and would also be ideal for secondment opportunities. Flexible working options are available.
