**About the role**

A fantastic school in Bury are looking for a Year 1 Teacher, to complete the remainder of the academic year. This two-form entry 'Good' school is committed to helping every child reach their full potential. The school has close links with the community andparents to ensure that children develop the confidence, skills and resilience to prepare them for the next steps in their education. The staff hold high expectations of students and they have achieved 25% above the expected standard in Reading and Mathematicsat the end of KS2.

The role will begin in January half term and the pay will be in line with teacher pay scales (up to M6)

**Responsibilities as a Year 1 Teacher**:

- Provide a safe learning environment that caters to the needs of every child as an individual
- Daily teaching of the 'Little Wandle' phonics programme
- Support children in their social and emotional development, in addition to academic progress
- Use frequent assessments and data to plan future lessons and ensure progress
- Adapt learning appropriately for those with additional needs
- Liase with the wider community such as parents and mutli-agencies to benefit children
- Contribute to the wide enrichment programme that the school offers

**To be successful in this Year 1 Teacher role you must**:

- Hold Qualified Teacher Status in the UK
- Have experience teaching in Primary Schools in the UK
- Recent experience in KS1, including phonics teaching is desirable
- Provide a CV covering full employment history with any gaps explained
- Provide professional references supporting teaching experience
