A rare opportunity to join a very successful SME business with a creative, positive and growth-oriented culture. Our company is seeking an experienced Head of Marketing (Director level) to lead our marketing team and develop and execute effective marketing strategies.

**Head of Marketing - Permanent - up to £75k**

As Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans that will increase brand awareness, drive customer engagement and generate sales growth. You will also be responsible for overseeing the execution of all marketing campaigns, analysing performance metrics, and identifying areas for improvement.

The role will report direct to the CEO.

**Principle Activities**

**Strategy Development**:

- Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan to achieve business objectives, in alignment with the company's overall goals.
- Craft strategies for all Marketing, including Digital, Advertising, Communications and Creative.
- Identify target customer segments and create buyer personas to guide marketing efforts effectively.
- Analyse market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities and refine strategies.
- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for all Marketing activities.
- Prepare weekly management insights reports into marketing performance.

**Customer Journey Management**:

- Design and optimise the end-to-end customer journey, from initial contact to post-purchase engagement.
- Ensure seamless integration between marketing, sales, and customer support functions to deliver a superior customer experience.
- Implement customer retention strategies to drive repeat business and foster long-term customer loyalty.
- Develop and execute lead generation campaigns across multiple channels (e.g., paid search, social media, events, partnerships) to expand the customer base.
- Review and monitor all advertising campaigns and consider new messages, keywords and audiences for retargeting and to maximize performance.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content, landing pages, and lead nurturing programs to generate high-quality leads.
- Understand the value of Affiliate marketing and initiatives, agreeing on exposure and CPA to maximize returns.
- Instigate referral marketing strategies to drive friends and relatives to take action and make purchases.
- Implement lead scoring and qualification processes to prioritize and convert leads into sales opportunities.

**Branding and Communication**:

- Lead and motivate a full-time marketing & brand communications team and a wider freelance network, including agency contacts.
- Prepare and lead regular marketing team meetings to focus on collaborative team performance and sharing best practices.
- Develop and maintain a strong brand presence through consistent messaging, visual identity, and brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to execute brand-building campaigns, PR initiatives, and community engagement activities.
- Preparing, writing and editing internal and external materials e.g. employee web pages, company presentations, thought leadership articles, newsletters, press releases, blogs, videos, etc
- Develop the marketing team’s knowledge and capacity whilst empowering ownership and responsibility.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field, Master's degree preferred
- 7+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Very strong digital marketing and data analytics skillset
- Very strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful marketing campaigns
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
