We are delighted that we are extending our leadership team in Whittington Barnet Children’s Integrated Therapy Service to include a clinical lead for our universal therapy services and transformation work within North Central London boroughs.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and experienced AHP Lead with extensive experience working with children and young people in the community. You will work strategically across North Central London boroughs to help develop effective, standardised, and responsive Universal work particularly focussed on speech, language and communication, and neurodiversity pathways, and you will take a lead on data and reporting across the partnership for SLT, OT, and physiotherapy.

In Barnet, you will be part of a dynamic and innovative Team of Clinical Leads including Speech and Language Therapy Team Leads, Occupational Therapy Team Lead and a Physiotherapy Team Lead working across a range of Pathways.

1. Lead and develop innovative Universal therapy services that supports integrated clinical care pathways for CYP across North Central London.
2. Assist relevant teams in the management of project tasks in line with the Service and Quality Improvement
3. Create and maintain dashboards to support summarised reporting
4. Presenting information effectively - verbal, visual and written; matching message to audience, and demonstrating outcomes at system and at child level.
5. Develop policies and procedures connected to Universal working, and to communicate the procedures and requirements to all stakeholders through meetings, presentations and training sessions / coproduction.
7. To maintain a clinical caseload of children and young people, working as an autonomous practitioner within own specialist area.
8. To develop effective and evidence-based intervention.
9. To develop effective working relationships with parents/carers and key stakeholders and to seek views to help develop a responsive and needs-led service.

1. Demonstrate good knowledge and experience of how early access universal services within therapies and with wider partners can lead to better outcomes for children across the SEND age range.
2. To provide clinical supervision and appraisal to staff within the clinical lead’s and providing expert guidance to other professionals in Health, Social Care and Education.
3. Input in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop integrated and joined up packages of care for CYP referred to the service.
4. Take a lead role in managing the demand and capacity of the service to ensure commissioned service functions are delivered as identified in Service Level Agreements/service specifications.
5. To be responsible for organising and prioritising own and others’ workload across the service.
