**Description**:
It’s an exciting time to join the Marketing and Communications team here at AXA, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers and streamline and automate our business processes. As part of this, we’re looking for a Media Relations Executive to join the team.

Working in AXA UK, you will support and help deliver a media relations programme and strategy. This role forms part of a strong press office whose function is to deliver an around-the-clock press office service which promotes and defends the reputation of the business.

What you’ll be doing:

- Working with the Media Relations Managers and Head of Media Relations to help support media relations activity, AXA’s overall communications strategy and business goals.
- Support in the managing and co-ordinating all PR activity in alignment with wider communications activity and business priorities, seeking maximum impact and awareness and full integration across all our earned and owned channels.
- Support work with PR agencies on the delivery of PR campaigns, helping to manage deliverables to a timely manner.
- Work with the Media Relations Managers and stakeholders across the business to ensure all media requests are managed, approved and delivered in a timely manner.
- Work with the team to handle customer complaints that come via the media and help provide advice on complaints that have potential to adversely affect the reputation of the business. Work across all necessary departments, including Legal and Compliance when appropriate, and advise the Head of Media Relations before any correspondence is signed off/issued
- Set up and manage reporting for all PR activity to actively track our ongoing coverage, share of voice, sentiment and comparisons with competitors as well as assess PR campaign performance.
- Work with key stakeholders across the business to support and manage award entries for key industry awards that align with our strategy.
- Work with the wider Media Relations team in seeking out opportunities for coverage in key media outlets and owned channels.
- Maintain a central log of speaking opportunities and support spokespeople with required briefing documents.
- Support Media Relations Managers in making sure media relations operating protocols and requirements

**Qualifications**:

- Communications and media relations experience.
- Up-to-date knowledge of latest PR industry trends and passionate about the role PR can play within a business.
- Good interpersonal and relationship skills: ability to work closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders across a business.
- Self-motivated with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude. Should have a strong sense of ‘doing the right thing’ and putting the customer first.
- Creative and full of ideas, with the ability to create highly engaging on-brand communications.
- Excellent spoken and written communication and presentation skills, with advanced skills in Microsoft platforms.
- Organised with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Good eye for detail.
- Good level of customer focus and understanding of customer needs.
- Knowledge of working with Social Media channels would be an advantage.
- Demonstratable interest in media and current affairs.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
