Are you looking to work for a company that contributes to the fundamental understanding of the universe? Do you want to be part of a team that helps the academic community communicate their ground-breaking research to the world?

Our high performing Publishing Operations team is responsible for managing our journals peer review process, and due to ongoing growth and employee development across the team, we are always keen to hear from individuals with excellent organisational and decision-making skills, who are looking to develop a career in scientific publishing. We are regularly on the look-out for Associate Editors and Editorial Assistants to join our team on both a permanent and fixed-term contract basis.

**Associate Editor**

This involves selecting appropriate reviewers, taking decisions at key stages of the process on the basis of expert advice, improving author and reviewer service, and upholding the journals' high standards in timeliness, quality and accuracy.

**Editorial Assistants**

As an Editorial Assistant you will join our high performing peer review team and play a vital role in ensuring excellent customer service to our authors and reviewers. Responsible for the administration of the publishing process, you will work following set working procedures to ensure our submission systems are updated accurately and promptly in order to maintain an excellent level of customer service and data quality.

Excellent service contributes to the attraction and retention of top authors and reviewers, and is critical to the future success of IOP Publishings journal business. As the primary point of contact for authors and reviewers, and through the administration of one or more journal titles, Editorial Assistants drive articles through the publication process from receipt to publication and beyond. Editorial Assistants also work as part of one or more journal teams, supporting in-house peer review staff, as well as maintaining good quality data in our systems.

Happy to work independently as well as within a team, you will be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills and also be adaptable and quick to learn. With a proactive approach to work, you will have excellent attention to detail in order to work to very high standards of accuracy when entering data and in written correspondence.
