To deliver an effective, comprehensive and highly specialist therapeutic service to vulnerable babies, toddlers and their families.

To provide a range of liaison activities which promote and support infant mental health and early intervention across a range of community settings.

To provide consultation, supervision, advice, training, support and information about infant mental health.

To collaborate with colleagues and partner agencies to develop psychologically/ psychotherapeutically informed care, including assessment of the parent-infant relationship when appropriate.

To provide highly specialist supervision, consultation, teaching and training to trainees within own profession and other disciplines within Gloucestershire Health and Care Trust Children's directorate and other related agencies e.g. perinatal service, social care, GHT.

To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise delegated responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service / team.

To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research.

To propose and implement policy changes within the area served by the team / service
