**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As Door Ambassador, you will play a key role in being the first positive interaction that a guest has at the hotel. This includes having an in-depth knowledge of the hotel and city to showcase all it has to offer.

As Door Ambassador, key aspects of your role will include:

- Greet and escort guests to rooms.
- Open doors and assist guests and visitors entering and leaving the property.
- Assist with luggage, storage and retrieval.
- Supply guests with directions.
- Arrange transportation for guests and visitors.
- Communicate parking procedures with guests and visitors.
- Be a W brand ambassador, ensuring the brand’s voice is present in your interactions with guests.
- Follow company policies and procedures in reporting accidents and injuries.
- Maintain awareness of undesirable persons on property premises.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
- Maintain confidentiality of information shared by guests.
- Welcome, acknowledge, anticipate and address guests’ needs.
- Speak using clear and professional language, using appropriate etiquette.
- Use proper manual handling techniques when assisting with luggage.
- Assist with valet parking when required (driving licence required)
- Perform other reasonable job duties requested by the Manager.

**ABOUT THE PROPERTY**

W Edinburgh will bring bold architecture and a vibrant lifestyle offering to the Scottish capital. Behind a façade featuring a winding steel ribbon - reflecting the city’s festival spirit - this 12-storey structure will be the centerpiece of Nuveen Real Estate’s Edinburgh St James Quarter, incorporating retail, leisure and entertainment facilities along with residential apartments.

This W hotel aims to help redefine the city’s hospitality landscape. Accordingly, it’ll fuse the brand’s signature amenities with modern design and W Happenings, highlighting what’s new in design, fashion, music and culture.

The new W hotel will accommodate guests across 244 stylish guestrooms, including 45 suites. While staying here, guests will benefit from the brand’s signature Whatever / Whenever service philosophy.

A real highlight of this property will be its rooftop bar and outdoor terrace, pairing exciting cocktails and cuisine with 360-degree views over the historic city. Among the other noteworthy amenities planned are the W Lounge, a restaurant collaboration with SUSHISAMBA, a FIT workout facility and an AWAY spa, with special functions hosted in 2,450 sq ft of modern event space.

Pay: £12.18 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 38.5 per week
