Job Introduction

As a **Picking and Packing Operative **with Sodexo you will be the go-to person... the one who knows where everything is. At **Wythenshawe Hospital** we are passionate about food, and we put our patients at the centre of everything we do. Our team of committed pickers and packers are behind us to give a quality service, and we are looking to expand our staff. You will be responsible for gathering our patients' orders using an electronic ordering system and preparing and serving food with care and attention. You will deliver food to the ward and then collect and wash the dishes and silverware, always keeping your work surfaces clean Hospital stays can be quite a stressful time for our patients and their loved ones, a simple smile and high-quality meal can put a patient at ease and make all the difference Join Sodexo and be part of something greater. **What you’ll do**:

- Decant, label, and store food in accordance with company guidelines.
- Receive patient food orders online, then picking, packing, and regenerating meals whilst adhering to Food Hygiene rules.
- Ensure accurate recording e.g., temperatures check.
- Clear and wash cutlery and crockery following service, ensuring level of cleanliness and hygiene for all equipment within the ward kitchens are compliant with company standards.

**What you bring**:

- Approachable, compassionate, and friendly team player with awesome communication skills (written and oral)
- Computer and maths skills
- Previous experience in a similar role is a bonus, but a can-do attitude and complete customer focus will tick the box.
- Food hygiene level 2 or above would be great, but don’t worry if you don’t have this, we are still keen to hear from you, a willingness to learn is enough.
