Are you an experienced General Major Scrub looking for a temporary position? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you at Mount Alvernia Hospital in Guildford, Surrey.

As a General Major Scrub (ODP) at Circle Health Group, you will play a vital role in supporting our surgical team during major operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that the operating theatre is set up correctly, including checking and preparing the necessary equipment and instruments. During the surgery, you will assist the surgeon in maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments, as well as monitoring the patient's vital signs and responding to any emergencies.

This is a temporary position starting on 30/01/2024 and ending on the same day. The shift will begin at 12:00:00 and end at 18:00:00. You will be compensated with a payment rate of £233.76 per shift worked.

To be considered for this role, you must have a strong background in General Major Scrub procedures and be registered as an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP). You should have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as you will be collaborating closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities:

- Set up the operating theatre with the necessary equipment and instruments
- Assist the surgeon during major operations, ensuring a sterile environment
- Handle instruments and provide them to the surgeon as required
- Monitor the patient's vital signs and respond to emergencies
- Maintain accurate records of the procedure and patient observations
