Established in 2020, Zodia Custody is a subsidiary of Standard Chartered and in December of that year, it was announced that Northern Trust had become a co-investor in Zodia Custody. Zodia's association with both Standard Chartered and Northern Trust bringseach Bank's established custody approach to the market and provides institutional investors globally with the confidence to enter the space.
At Zodia Custody, we believe that secure custody services and higher industry standards are key to unlocking the institutional potential for the cryptoasset class.
**Business Department Strategy**
An overview of the Department and strategy.
The IT Department oversees the design Development, Hosting and Support of the platform
Currently made of two main activities:
- Operational Excellence: aiming at delivering the best technology, combining state-of-the-art high-tech expertise with best-in-class Tiers-1 grade ITSM practices.
- Business Solutions: aiming at supporting the growth by supporting end-to-end the customer in its journey with Zodia Custody. Solutions missions range from Sales/Pre-Sales support to Customer Services Support and Services.
Within the Operational Excellence department, Product Service mission is to deliver Business verticals, as per company strategy and Business Owners requirements and need, to drive the company revenues by leveraging Group Services and Business Services, existingor yet to be developed.
**Scope of Role**
The Platform Quality Lead has the responsibility to ensure that the solutions developed by the IT Development service maintains Zodia within its Risk appetite, offers stable and reliable user journeys and therefore maintain customer satisfaction, as well asensure that Solutions and Sales Teams, wherever they are located in Europe or Asia can at any point of time run demos, UATs in the broadened ecosystem created by Zodia.
**Key Accountabilities**
**Define and implement the testing strategy**:
- Responsible for product and offer testing.
- Provide testing strategy, conduct training and universities for new joiners, being internal or external staff on processes, strategy, tooling, testing and testing automation best practices and rules,
- Ensure that the QA team, made of Application QA and Functional QA analysts, delivers on time and to the required quality standards sign-offs as per Release Management Process.
- Act as control layer for the IT Department and ensure that risk metrics are within Risk Appetite before delivering sign-off. Detect, alert and escalate deviations on risk metrics. Work on mitigation plans in collaboration with various stakeholders suchas Zodia delivers as per roadmap in the limits permitted by the ERMF. Activate dispensation process as per governance otherwise.
**Lead the QA Team and implement QA strategy**:
- Provide oversight and is hands-on on the design, implementation and execution of the testing plan which includes -but is not limited to:
- preparation of component-based test plan, test scenarios and defect management with aligned reporting Modules of the IT Universe, interfaced or not with third-party components, hosted or not on Zodia premises ,
- continuous development and execution of Zodia Components regression test pack
- management of configuration (execution context, environment parameters) and dataset
- reporting to be dually based on the IT Universe as well as the product / business lines offering to accurately expose the coverage of testing at the various stages of the Quality process
- Take in special care to manage efficiently the code and the testing practices in use within Zodia Custody. Avoid unnecessary duplicated efforts within the team and across development practices and maximize synergies and operational efficiency needed bythe cross-functional team organization
- Participate in refinement sessions with Developers, Product Owners and Business Analysts to review and contribute to requirements and acceptance criteria. Participate in walkthrough and training sessions with Solutions Team along with Customer Success Teamto maintain expertise within the team on product and offer and maintain within the team a high level of customer centricity
- Participate at early stage of the project to Story Mapping phases when JIRA structure is elaborated to conduct the development and therefore contribute to co-define testing journeys, multi-user scenarios and end-to-end business scenarios to be reportedto busines before sign-off and launch

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Proven experience in development, Javascript or Java
**Personal attributes**:
- Capability to define and implement QA strategy beyond QA-by-the-book is a plus
