Concept Designer

GBR Recruitment Ltd are working in partnership with a leading Automotive / Specialist Vehicle (High Capital Products) manufacturing business, recruiting for an experienced**Concept Designer (3D AutoCAD)**who has had exposure to **Siemens NX or SolidWorks**ideally.

You will be an innovative & creative Concept/ NPD Design Professional with strong experience of working within complexed builds, engineering & manufacturing.

**Concept Designer Duties**:

- Delivering multiple upcoming new products (NPD / NPI) & modern facelift projects.
- Define & deliver conceptual internal, external, outfitting components & mouldings.
- Accurately produce 3D surfaces required for the release of CNC mould tooling data.
- Clearly understand materials, plus professional regulated design standards.
- An understanding of automotive systems & assembly build methods
- Working on multiple design projects within the early Concept development phase.
- Liaise with the Production team & other key departments within the business.
- Ensure that the concept product complies with all relevant Codes & Classifications.

**Designer Attributes**:

- A Designer from Automotive, Specialist Vehicles, Plant Machinery or similar (ideal).
- Strong Concept Design, NPD & NPI skills required within DFM.
- Ability to work on a vast variety of design commodities.
- Knowledge of 3D CAD software - Siemens NX preferable, or a similar 3D CAD package like SolidWorks or others.
- An understanding of a PLM system (Siemens Teamcenter used).
