We are recruiting for Risk Governance Specialist to join our team. This is a great job for someone with a good understanding of Governance, Risk and compliance who wishes to join a multitalented and supportive team make an impact at one of the UK’s largest Insurance, Wealth and Retirement business

A bit about the job:
The Risk Specialist will own the risk framework for Aviva Insurance Ireland Designated Activity Company (AIIDAC) UK Branch and additional international functions. Within their scope, the Risk Specialist will manage and improve our internal control environment and work with the wider business to continue evolving awareness and the effectiveness of 1LOD control environment within the branch’s perimeter. The Risk Specialist will be expected to take ownership of the day-to-day maintenance of all the qualitative elements of the risk management framework, with some quantitative work included including analysis and interpretation of risk themes, to provide our SLT, executive and Board teams with high quality insights into existing and emerging risk themes.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

- Previous Risk Governance experience, gained from working within the financial Sector
- Proven ability to develop and implement compliance controls and frameworks
- Strong understanding of the Governance, Risk and Compliance 10LD model
- Proficiency in managing Risk Registers and experience of using risk management software is essential
- A resilient individual that strategically prioritises towards the long-term visions and weathers and short-term challenges

- Starting salary of £55,000 (National) and circa £65,000 (London based applicants) depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
