**About the role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Integrated Diagnostics Solution (IDS) business unit, this role is a newly created position in the existing Professional Services Team.

Life science graduates will be considered who are highly motivated, ambitious and passionate about making a difference. Ultimately, you have to be customer/patient centric person who enjoys challenges and thrives in a dynamic environment.

The Diagnostic Systems portfolio covers traditional microbiology products and instrumentation along with molecular products and instruments for the diagnosis of infectious diseases. The portfolio also encompasses a range of Cytology products for the preparation of slides for cytology screening as well as molecular testing for HPV.

**Main responsibilities will include**:

- Support the customer in key process improvement engagements and solution design (Workflow optimisation, process re-design, lean lab design)
- Engage customer stakeholders to gather pre/post metrics to assess the improvement on customer Time to Result, Quality, Staff Efficiency and Cost
- Creating and implementing programs to ensure effective ongoing support of client projects for lab automation products and services.
- Participate in territory planning with the Regional Account Managers and Diagnostic Solutions Consultants
- Provide direction and support to customers on operation and maintenance of BD instruments.
- Participating in LEAN workflow reviews of customer processes
- Demonstrate uses and advantages of the products, provide appropriate feedback to the organisation and help build strong customer loyalty.
- Ongoing support for BD Kiestra instruments on customer request
- Working closely with technical support team, sales and marketing to address customer concerns, resolve corrective action and customer follow up
- Maintain appropriate records as required by the company,
- Co-ordinate customer training at customer sites and the BD training facility in conjunction with the European LAAS

**About you**:

- Knowledge of clinical microbiology laboratory
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Training experience/skills
- Knowledge of LEAN working and change management
- Demonstrate proven ability to identify and implement workflow improvements
- Strong interpersonal skills are needed to build effective relationships with NHS lab staff
- Excellent trouble shooting and decision-making skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- 80% travel required with flexible working
- Computer proficiency in MS office products required
- Be comfortable with the BD core values
