**Role and Responsibility's**
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and formulate individualized treatment plans for patients with mental health conditions, ensuring a holistic approach to care.
- Provide evidence-based pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, including medication management, psychotherapy, and social interventions, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Monitor and review the progress of patients, adjusting treatment plans as necessary and responding to acute changes in mental state or risk.
- Participate in ward rounds, case conferences, and multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights and collaborating with colleagues to optimize patient outcomes.
- Offer support and psychoeducation to patients and their families, promoting self-management and recovery-oriented care principles.
- Provide supervision and mentorship to junior medical staff, including Foundation Year Doctors and Psychiatry Trainees, fostering their professional development and clinical skills.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols, guidelines, and quality improvement initiatives within the department or specialty area.
- Engage in research activities, including data collection, audit, and participation in research projects, to contribute to the evidence base and advancement of psychiatric practice.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards of practice, including patient confidentiality and information governance.
- Adhere to the principles of ethical practice, professional conduct, and safeguarding, advocating for the rights and dignity of patients at all times.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Medical degree from a recognized institution, with full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a license to practice in the UK.
- Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) or working towards membership is desirable.
- Prior experience in psychiatry or relevant clinical rotations during medical training is essential, preferably at the Middle Grade level or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and engage with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong clinical acumen, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex and challenging clinical situations with empathy and professionalism.
Commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning, including participation in relevant training, courses, and conferences.

Pay: £65.00-£85.00 per hour
