**Job Type**: Part-time, Permanent Part-time hours: 8-16 per week Salary: £13 per hour

The Marketing and Communications Specialist will work closely within our small team, to deliver effective and engaging communications to our key stakeholders and utilize digital marketing, events, and other tools to grow and strengthen our network of volunteers, guests, and visitors.

You will create and tailor content and resources for TCC events, manage and maintain our website, social media, and other outlets. You will engage with the media to identify appropriate opportunities to raise awareness of TCC aims and objectives.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
Develop and deliver TCC’s Events, Marketing and Communications Strategy.

Support our relationships in local and wider community.

Use social media to engage with our guests, visitors, and volunteers to raise awareness and drive footfall and raise guest occupancy and visitor numbers.

Create content for posts, press releases, newsletters, and communication that conveys the values and aims of TCC.

Help to develop TCC’s brand, including the visual identity, messaging, tone of voice and style.

Lead the development of a proactive events plan to raise TCC’s profile while playing an active part with team creating income generation activities for the Trust.

Support the leadership team with administrative duties.

Participating in team meetings and activities. Represent TCC’s and act as a spokesperson when required.

Ensuring TCC’s vision and values are at the heart of everything we do. Promoting equal opportunities, diversity, and inclusion in all areas of work. Collaborating on special projects as required.

Relevant experience:
A demonstrable background in public events management, marketing, and media communications.

Exceptionally organised, with the ability to prioritise.

Knowledge of GDPR requirements and best practice.

At least 3 years’ work experience in an events, marketing, or communications role.

Desirable:
Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline. Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics, and social media marketing tools. Experience in third sector/not for profit and/or public sector.

Track record of managing and growing social media platforms.

Skills and attributes:
Excellent communication, writing and proofreading skills.

Excellent digital skills, including basic use of tools, Mailchimp and Adobe. Strong project management skills.

Ability to adjust course and thrive in a small team, working closely with a wide network of employers, sector partners, government representatives, and others.

Strategically minded, with the ability to both see the big picture and roll up your sleeves.

Calm and resilient, comfortable handling tasks in a fast-paced environment.
