**Job Description: **Assist the management in supporting the businesses operating within Torr Vale Mill through administration and delivering events.

**The Role**:
We seek an administrator to support several businesses run within Torr Vale Mill. We are seeking someone with a genuine passion for the hospitality industry with exceptional customer service to join our small but growing team at Torr Vale Mill.

Torr Vale Mill is a Grade 2* listed building, much of which has recently been renovated to include an events floor, offices and retail units and holiday accommodation. With the hospitality team, you will be seeing the process through from marketing and sales through to delivery and review, building the businesses reputation and supporting a strong client and supplier base. It is important to manage clients expectations and ensure that every event is delivered to a high standard in line with the clients requirements.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person looking to progress their skills set in events/hospitality administration and management within a dedicated and growing family business and unique place of work.

The role is varied to include office administration, customer service and supporting event delivery. The post is full time and permanent based upon 37.5 hours per week. You will need to be flexible as you will work 5 days out of 7 including some weekends and bank holidays. Predominantly the working days will be Tuesday to Saturday. We operate a TOIL system to ensure good work-life balance. Typical shifts include 9am to 5.30pm on non-event days, 8am - 4.30pm or 12pm - 8.30pm or 4pm - 12.30am on event days.
- A passion for Hospitality and Events
- Experience within the Events industry (predominantly Weddings) and customer service
- Experience with administration tasks and data inputting
- Experience of managing and writing for social media accounts
- Good attention to detail and organised
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work under pressure and problem solve
- A can-do attitude and able to work within a team
- Able to demonstrate use of initiative, working independently and strong leadership skills
- Able to work weekends and evenings and longer hours when an event is taking place

**Duties of the role include but is not limited to**:

- Sales - conduct event venue viewings, answer enquiries, send brochures, take payments, processing invoices and contracts
- Build relationships with clients through their event planning process
- To create detailed wedding and event schedules
- To oversee and manage the weddings and events themselves, working alongside external wedding suppliers and staff and becoming the main point of contact for the day. Management of front of house team on Wedding & Event days.
- Ensure all event and accommodation areas are kept clean, tidy and to a high standard
- To help organise specific marketing events to showcase facilities
- To manage the marketing of the venue and holiday cottages through social media and website channels
- To use and improve upon company databases
- Assisting management in ensuring the accommodation quality standards remain high and ensuring that the customer experience exceeds expectations, and all operating standards are achieved.
- Monitoring stock room items for accommodation such as linen, inventory and equipment to ensure budgets are adhered to.
- Line management duties of junior staff as the team grows or in management absence
- To adhere to strict Health and Safety guidelines issued by management and be responsible for own Risk Assessments when necessary
- To work flexibly and as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service and exceed expectations, being aware of and accommodating the needs of the business as a whole
- Supporting management in future strategy and implement solutions for future business growth
- During an event, to support the manager, work on the bar, provide leadership to bar staff, cover manager whilst on breaks and other duties required throughout.
